EXPERIENCE:

5/2010 - Present

BP Global Projects Organization

Industry: Energy and Utilities

Thunder Horse Infill project – New Wells Delivery Team – Atlantis Area Subsea Team Lead Planner

Upon completion of the Horn Mountain Redevelopment Project, I was appointed the Lead Planning Engineer position for the Thunderhorse Infill Project. This scope involved overseeing scheduled procurement; fabrication/manufacturing, testing, delivery and installation of required the kits in support of 9 production wells. This included 10 Trees (1 Spare), jumpers, controls hardware, a 5000 meter umbilical, and TUTA (Topsides umbilical Termination Assembly for a new chemical support system for the south field wells. Also, this position included overseeing the planning aspects for various contractors such as GSH (hardware fabrication), SSII / SCT (Installation Contractor), engineering services by Technip/Genesis, Stress, and others to ensure seamless integration within all schedules. Furthermore worked very closely with the regulatory group to ensure all engineering requirements and permitting for well startups would be in place early enough to satisfy both Early & Pmean wells organization scenarios. This scenario involved critical planning/scheduling at a Level 2-3 Master control schedule environment while assessing the Global Wells Organization monthly scheduling of a 6 + year rig schedules with relations to a 20+ year depletion plan. Another key aspect of this position is working very closely with the Activity planning group to ensure that all required permitting, both internal and external, all hardware, installation contracting, logistics, and key required POB was in place within various established readiness gates. This ultimately ensures that POB efficiency has the best results upon offshore execution within this allowable POB restricted environment. Furthermore, I have now assumed the above mentioned positions as part of the Industry streamlining campaign.

9/2010 - 5/2012

BP Americas

Industry: Energy and Utilities

Horn Mountain Phase 2 Re-dev Project Lead Planner

Post the Macondo incident in the Gulf, it was requested I join as the Horn Mountain Redevelopment Phase 2 Lead Planner. The scope of work included the Installation of a Temporary Crane Support Structure, Temporary Crane, installation of an upgraded 6 pack Living quarters. This would be continued by the installation of a Temporary Galley in preparation of upgrading the existing ones. This would also include the installation of Additional Lifeboats required as they would have more POB on the new quarters. In addition, areas on platform required structural members to be strengthened for installation of a Deck Extension, Cellar deck porches, and a monorails system installation. The installation of a refurbished Drill rig was also included in this scope, however, a decision by BP to only include the installation of the 6-pack living quarters, shortening the project to a 16 Month Execution instead of 2-3 years. Wuarters habitable was achieved 1Q 2012, and then the Horn mountain spar was then put on the market as well other BP assets.

Perdido Development / BS4 Subsea Lead Planner

Perdido Development Lead Planner

It was requested for me to return as the Lead planner on the commissioning phase of the Project leading up to First Production. Maintained the master P6 schedule, while receiving daily progress updates from the Offshore construction, commissioning, SIMOPs Coordination, and remainder of Subsea Teams. Generated, maintained, and reported all progress monitoring tools relating to the offshore effort which in turn would be reported at the Venture level. In addition, Upon First Production on the Perdido Project I was reallocated to the BS4 project which has been around for upwards of 6 years. The project was located in Brazil, however, the Shell team based in Houston was tasked with preparing for it’s 3rd attempt through a decision gate. The scope included development of a field which was deemed very difficult to produce as the Hydrocarbon chemistry required new technology to produce (Twin Screw pumps) which had not been used in the water depths of the area. It would have required the an Early production System in order to obtain further subsurface information which would then support the “Full Field development” gate decision. The project had failed on 2 previous attempts due to many factors, Schedule being one of the re-occuring issues which would translate as “Estimates not supported by Schedule”. On this instance the project schedule review passed with flying colors, however, Petrobras being one of the partners, had other agendas and the project was quickly cancelled due to partners not being aligned.
